Hatboro Chamber News & Announcements

Fall Decorating Days

The store front and businesses of Hatboro are looking very fall and spooky…. keep it up Hatboro. Judging is still taking place with announcements of the best windows and storefronts will be announce Monday October 19th.

Scarecrow Contest

Thank you to the many businesses that have already submitted their application for the Scarecrow Contest, there is still time if you are interested just email the chamber office.

All businesses in the Borough are encouraged to participate – you do not need to be located on York Road. If your business is not on York Road you will be assigned a space for display. This is a fun way for you to represent your business, show your creativity and to show patrons that visit town your creations (think about how you can “brand” your scarecrow so people know it’s been made by you!) Contest rules are also attached.

Decorate a Pumpkin- Saturday October 24th   1PM – 3 PM

This will take place at Williams Lane ( Hatboro’s Hungry Hideaway)- we are looking for a few volunteers to help with this event. The children will be give all of their supplies in an individual bag and they can take it home or create at the event. Please email the chamber office if interested in helping.

 Halloween Parade of Costumes Stroll – Oct. 31st – 1pm – 3pm

Due to COVID-19, this year’s stroll will be handled differently. Children and families in costume will “parade” up and down York Road (with volunteers to ensure social distancing). No candy will be handed out by store owners, instead the Chamber is asking that businesses donate the candy that they would have given out and the Chamber will assemble individual bags for the children.  Locations will be established where the children can collect their “safe treats” — location details are still being finalized. Email the Chamber about how to make a candy or monetary donation to this effort. Need to drop off your donations they can also be dropped off at McDonalds of Hatboro by Saturday October 24th.

The Chamber is looking for volunteers to help with the Parade of Costumes Stroll- we would like to make this a very safe, social-distancing event for the town. Email the chamber if you are available to help.
